Iowans Will Decide on Sustainable Natural Resource Funding in November 2010 - Feb. 20, 2009
Des Moines, Iowa - February 20 -
Iowa voters will decide in November of 2010 whether to amend the state Constitution to set up a protected account to improve the state's water quality and water resources. The fund would also improve wildlife habitat, soil conservation, lake restorations, parks, and trails. This week, the Iowa Senate approved the idea with a 49-1 vote; the Iowa House passed it 82-14. The amendment now goes straight to voters. Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) join a host of other conservation organizations, hunters and anglers in support of the amendment's passage.
Pheasants Forever Ready to "Reload Iowa" - Feb. 19, 2009

Iowa Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) announce an ambitious new campaign to restore the state's pheasant and quail populations. "Reload Iowa" adopts an aggressive strategy for establishing and improving 1 million acres of wildlife habitat, increasing the number of upland hunters and increasing hunting-related revenue to local communities.
National Pheasant Fest Draws Over 20,000 to Madison, Wis. - Feb. 08, 2009
Madison, Wis. - February 08 - Pheasants Forever's (PF) National Pheasant Fest 2009 presented by Cabela's concluded today, drawing 20,255 people to Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, for the three-day event. National Pheasant Fest 2009 was PF's fifth such event, and the first ever in Wisconsin. It was also the first Fest to be held with above freezing temperatures.
Pheasants Forever's National Pheasant Fest Returning to Des Moines in 2010 - Feb. 07, 2009

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever announced today that the organization's premiere event, National Pheasant Fest, will be returning to Des Moines, Iowa, in 2010. National Pheasant Fest 2010 will be held at the Iowa Events Center on February 26, 27 & 28, 2010. Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever President & CEO Howard Vincent made the announcement from National Pheasant Fest 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin, which wraps up tomorrow.
New Illinois Governor Quinn Makes Big Moves for Conservation - Feb. 05, 2009
Springfield, Ill. - February 05 -
Today, new Illinois Governor Pat Quinn began addressing the damage done to the state's natural resources under the Blagojevich administration. The Governor requested Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever's (QF) attendance at a press conference this afternoon where he signed Senate Bill 1132, which returned $9.25 million to six dedicated sportsmen accounts. At the same event, Governor Quinn named Marc Miller as the new director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Montana Pheasants Forever Announces 2008 Habitat Accomplishments - Feb. 03, 2009

Montana's 18 Pheasants Forever (PF) chapters and 2,000 PF members spent over $300,000 in 2008, which translated into 65 wildlife habitat projects benefitting 2,353 acres for pheasants and other wildlife across the state.
Pheasants Forever Set to "Reload Nebraska" - Feb. 02, 2009

Nebraska Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) will unveil an ambitious new campaign to restore the state's pheasant and quail populations at the Nebraska PF/QF State Habitat Meeting on Saturday, February 7th at the Midtown Holiday Inn in Grand Island. University of Nebraska Athletic Director and pheasant hunter Tom Osborne will help make the "Reload Nebraska" introduction and announcement.
Central Utah Pheasants Forever Chapter Hits the Ground Runnin' - Jan. 26, 2009

Pheasant hunters and conservationists within Sanpete County have formed Utah's newest Pheasants Forever (PF) chapter. Known as the Central Utah Runnin' Ring-Necks Chapter of PF, the group plans to have an impact on youth involvement in hunting and wildlife habitat conservation practices.
Pheasants Forever's 2008-2009 Winter Update - Jan. 22, 2009
The 2008-2009 pheasant season has ended or is winding down in a few states as quickly as the temperatures outside have been plummeting. To date, the winter of 2008-2009 has been harsher than recent years in many places across the pheasant range. This has created a myriad of inquiries to Pheasants Forever's offices from people concerned about pheasant populations.
